Many clients contact us after inheriting jewelry, preparing for an estate sale, downsizing, or sorting through a collection that has been kept for many years. You do not need to know exactly what every item is before contacting us.
Jewelry is reviewed as part of the buying process. If the items fit what we are currently purchasing, we may make an offer based on the collection, condition, resale demand, and current market conditions.
Estate Jewelry and Inherited Jewelry
Our primary focus is purchasing estate jewelry and inherited jewelry. This may include jewelry from family estates, long-held personal collections, downsizing situations, estate cleanouts, and jewelry passed down through relatives.
Estate jewelry collections often include a mix of older pieces, fine jewelry, vintage items, costume jewelry, gold, silver, watches, rings, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Vintage Jewelry and Vintage Costume Jewelry
We are interested in many types of vintage jewelry, including vintage costume jewelry found in estate collections. These pieces may include brooches, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, statement pieces, signed jewelry, and older fashion jewelry collected over time.
Some vintage costume jewelry may not look valuable in the traditional sense, but certain makers, styles, materials, and eras can still have resale interest. If vintage costume jewelry is part of a larger estate collection, it may be worth including when you contact us.
Gold, Silver, Designer, and Native Jewelry
Estate collections may include gold jewelry, silver jewelry, sterling silver pieces, designer jewelry, Native jewelry, Southwestern-style jewelry, gemstone jewelry, diamond jewelry, rings, watches, and other older pieces.
Items do not need to be perfectly sorted before an appointment. Many estates include a mix of fine jewelry, vintage jewelry, costume jewelry, watches, and miscellaneous pieces stored together.
Mixed Jewelry Lots and Larger Collections
Larger jewelry collections and mixed lots are often a good fit for our buying process. A mixed lot may include fine jewelry, costume jewelry, sterling silver, watches, brooches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other estate pieces gathered over many years.
If you are handling a family estate or preparing for an estate sale, it may be helpful to have the jewelry reviewed separately before it is grouped with general household items.
Select Related Estate Items
Some estate jewelry collections also include related items such as watches, coins, sterling silver, small silver items, or other valuables. These items may be considered on a case-by-case basis when they are part of a larger jewelry or estate collection.
Not every item qualifies, but if these pieces are included with jewelry you are looking to sell, you may mention them when scheduling an appointment.
What May Not Be a Fit
Not every item or collection is something we are currently buying. Some items may be declined based on condition, style, resale demand, quantity, or overall suitability.
Our focus is on estate jewelry, inherited jewelry, vintage jewelry, and jewelry collections. Newer mass-produced fashion jewelry, heavily damaged low-value items, or unrelated household goods may not be a fit.
